Ownership right

Ownership right is Georgian constitutional right and is regulated by article 21 of constitution and article 170 of civil code:

„According to Georgian legislation the ownership right is fundamental human right. Property and heritage right are recognized and inviolable by Georgian constitution. Cancellation (except for the direct cases considered by the law, such as acute social needs with relevant remuneration) of universal right of ownership, its acquisition, alienation or inheritance is inadmissible. The ownership right means free use and holding of the property by the owner in scopes of the law. The right to use also includes the right of a person not to use his property.”

Abovementioned right applies for citizens of Georgia as well as any other country.
